KITCHEN MANAGER – FULL TIMEÂ
We are looking for an experienced Kitchen Manager to join the team at Picky Bits.
We are a small and thriving business growing at a rapid pace while juggling our sandwich shop and catering events. The manager will be working closely with the owner to manage the kitchen team and the day to day operations in the back of house.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL BE:

Be able to prepare food to a high quality in an impressive time frame. Our social media is our biggest advert and the food you will create has to live up to the hype!
Friendly, energetic and confident with a great personality and a positive outlook.
Committed, reliable, punctual and above all; a morning person! 🙂
Have experience managing a team in a similar role.
Food safety trained and knowledgeable regarding food hygiene and safety in the commercial kitchen workspace.
Have a strong knowledge of ingredients and a creative flair for creating unique menu offerings.
Be organised and efficient with an eye for detail.
Be able to cope with working well under pressure and with ever changing demand.
Be meticulous with recording information with strong written and communication skills.
Be willing to jump onto any task required. We are small team, the work is physical and any job goes!
RESPONSIBILITES
- Ensure that all food items and products are stored, prepared & served based our preparation and portion spec.
- Prepare food to a high quality specification that supports our positive reputation.
• Stock management including food items and kitchen materials and equipment.
• Supervising food preparation and specification standards in the kitchen.
• Maintaining a clean and organised working environment.
• Working with the owner to create menu items and manage the workload. - Ensure that all training, healthy and safety and food safety requirements are met.
- Â Overseeing team members to ensure the safe operation of kitchen equipment and utensils and the proper handling of heavy items and hazardous materials.

SHIFTS
Shift times will range between 6.30am-5.30pm (ish) between Tuesday and Saturday.
Sunday work will occasionally be required if we have a big event. The shop is closed between Sundays and Tuesday.

KITCHEN ASSISTANT – PART TIME AND FULL TIME ROLES AVAILABLEÂ
A permanent role in a fast paced and fun environment.
CANDIDATES MUST
Be enthusiastic about a position in hospitality and have a passion for food and drink.
Ideally have experience working in a similar environment however full training can be provided if candidate is serious about a career in the food industry.
Ideally have experience working in a professional kitchen but a genuine excitement for working with food and drink is essential.
Be able to work well under pressure and work to deadlines
Be available to start work early in the morning and work on Saturdays.
Be friendly and confident with a great personality and a positive outlook.
Be committed, reliable and have an eagerness to learn.
RESPONSIBILITES
Assist with the preparation of ingredients – rinsing, chopping, peeling, slicing!
Washing up, wiping up, cleaning down stations, sweeping, mopping.
Assist with baking of sweet treats
Ensure cleanliness standards are upheld at all times.
Ensure compliance with food safety and health and safety regulations
Ensure food is labelled correctly and stock is rotated and organised.
Be flexible to assisting with a variety of tasks. This will also involve serving in the shop front and be customer facing on occasion.
