SHOP FRONT SERVER/BARISTA –Â PART TIME – FRI/SAT ONLYÂ
A permanent role in a growing business within a fast paced and fun environment.
Front of house server working with our shop manager.
We are looking for specific availability for a part time role that is 16-18 hours per week with the opportunity to pick up extra shifts ad hoc.
Approx hours are Fridays 7am until 3.30pm and Saturdays 8am-3pm – to be fully confirmed.
Immediate start is available for the right person but we are willing to wait to find someone who is the right fit for this role and the hours that it offers.
CANDIDATES MUST
Be friendly and confident with a great personality and a positive outlook. You will be the first person our customers see!
Be enthusiastic about a future in hospitality and have a passion for food and drink.
Ideally be barista trained but full training can be provided for the right applicant.
Ideally have experience working in a similar environment but a genuine excitement for working with food and drink is essential.
Be available to start work early in the morning and work on Saturdays.
Be able to work well under pressure and deliver excellent customer service with a smile.
Be committed, reliable and have an eagerness to learn.
Communicate well with the rest of the PB team.
Be organised.
RESPONSIBILITES
Greet customers as they arrive and deliver the Picky Bits experience. We have a fantastic reputation for customer service.
Take orders and payments and operate the till system.
Make and serve coffees and hot drinks on our coffee machine to a high standard.
Ensure cleanliness standards are upheld at all times in the shop front.
Ensure compliance with food safety and health and safety regulations
Be able to lend a hand in the kitchen with wrapping sandwiches, washing up, unloading deliveries and various general tasks.
As we are a small team the ideal candidate will need to be flexible to assisting with a variety of tasks. There is always a job to be done!

SHIFTS

The shop will close for summer for the last three weeks of August so there will be no shifts within this time period.

KITCHEN ASSISTANT – PART TO FULL TIME – HIRING FOR THIS FROM SUMMER 2024Â

CANDIDATES MUST
Be enthusiastic about a position in hospitality and have a passion for food and drink.
Have an eye for detail and an ability to put together plates that look too good to eat!
Ideally have experience working in a similar environment however full training can be provided if candidate is serious about a career in the food industry.
Ideally have experience working in a professional kitchen but a genuine excitement for working with food and drink is essential.
Be able to work well under pressure and work to deadlines
Be available to start work early in the morning and work on Saturdays.
Be friendly and confident with a great personality and a positive outlook.

RESPONSIBILITES
Assist with the preparation of ingredients – rinsing, chopping, peeling, slicing!
Bake goods for sale
Prepare sandwiches for sale
Ensure cleanliness standards are upheld at all times.
Ensure compliance with food safety and health and safety regulations
Ensure food is labelled correctly and stock is rotated and organised.
Assist in reducing food waste and produce ideas for menu specials.
Assist Danielle with creation of grazing platters.
Assist Danielle with set up of buffet tables for events.

As we are a small team the ideal candidate will need to be flexible to assisting with a variety of tasks. This will also involve serving in the shop front and be customer facing.

SHIFTS
